There were 17 members at the Ice Cream Social last week!  Thanks to everyone for attending and bringing supplies to make it a success!  Jack Garrison won the drawing to receive 8 dollars, donated to polio, but did not find the Queen of Spades.  Additionally, thank you to the members who presented the certificate of appreciation and the cupcakes to the police officers before that. 

 

DG Julie will not be able to make the meeting on Saturday, Sept. 8th, but she will come the evening of Sept. 12th for our second work day.  If you haven't signed up for either date and would like to, please email Janelle.  For the Sept. 11th Fire department appreciation, we will start grilling around 5:30 and be finished by 7 when their meeting begins.  I'm assured they have a grill and seating available.  A few members are bringing desserts and Tom S. is providing food on behalf of the Brewhouse.  Please come to show your support. 

 

Additionally, we will be helping out at the Crete Youth Cabin for the 5 Mile Bridge concert on Sept. 15th.  A sign up sheet will be passed around on the Sept. 5th meeting.  We will be inducting two new members, Marilea Thiem and Maci Sorenson, in the month of September or early October.  Please give them both a warm welcome!
