Last Week- Our busy month of May continued Wednesday evening at the Youth Cabin. Twelve members reported for duty which included cleaning and staining the tops of all seven picnic tables. We also pruned, raked, cleaned and cleared areas under the trees north of the cabin. After about an hour and half of work we adjurned to a picnic style meal of bbq pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, chips, applesauce and cookies. Thanks to all who were able to help and especially Craig who organized and directed the work effort. This Week- More outdoor fun is in store. In place of a regular Wednesday meeting, we will volunteer to help Russ Sears and the City of Crete to prepare the ground and plant pumpkins for the Great Pumpkin Festival coming this fall. The club has helped with this event the last two years so most of you know what to expect. Bring your gloves, bug spray and a rake or shovel if you have one. We can report to the site at 5:30 Wednesday evening. Thank you and have a great Memorial Day on Monday!
