Last Week- Our busy month of April continued as we volunteered our time and talents at two events. On Tuesday evening we bought, grilled and served meals to approximately 200 children and parents at The Week of The Young Child event at Doane University. Hot dogs, applesauce, chips and water were the fare of the day and the weather, although cool, was far better than the previous day.

 

On Friday we manned two ticket selling tables at the Crete Elementary School Carnival. The event is the school's fun night to celebrate the coming completion of another successful school year. And it is a chance for the students' parents and families to spend time with each other along with teachers and staff.

 

 

This Week- Two Rotary things happen this week. Monday through Friday mornings members will be helping sign in patients at Crete Area Medical Center's Health Fair. They are very early morning shifts and I salute the hardy souls who volunteered! Thank you.

 

On Tuesday noon we will hold a regular meeting at TBH. David Sands with the Nebraska Land Trust will be our speaker. We will also discuss our upcoming District Grant Project application and finalize the menu for our UCC Community Meal event coming up on May 2nd. There will also be a sign up sheet for that event.
